Weibel Scientific

Job beskrivelse

Do you want to unfold your skills within software development and engineering in a world leading technology driven company?

At Weibel we develop Doppler radars which are used as highly advanced precision instruments by our customers for real-time measurement and acquisition of data from multiple airborne targets. We are the best in our field and application software is an important enabler for our continuous success.

We are looking for a skilled C++ and/or C# developer with proved track record in development of Windows based application software. We are specifically looking for someone that knows how to develop software for configuration and control of machinery, instrumentation, or process equipment. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and motivated by the opportunity to create the business logic and UI that controls our advanced instrumentation radars.

We are a team of software architects and developers. Our responsibility is to develop and maintain Weibels customer facing software, and we continuously work to improve our UX and UI, which is key to fully utilize all new features we are adding to our systems. We work closely together with our sister departments algorithm, processing and embedded to release complete software bundles. We take the agile approach to project planning and execution, and we use DevOps on a wide scale to support our daily processes.

Develop and implement software to control advanced radar systems

You will be part of a team that develop and maintain code for handling UI, communication, calculations, data storage and much more. The team has extensive self-governance meaning it is the team that design and implement the solutions but at the same time are responsible for quality and deadlines. We have a user centric mind-set that enables us to keep track of details while ensuring that the end-user is provided with an intuitive and easily accessible solution.

Your tasks will primarily be to:

  • Design and implement new functionality.
  • Optimize and develop our existing solutions.
  • Architectural and interface definitions in teams of 2-12 developers.
  • Develop unit and integration tests.
  • Review the code written by your colleagues.
  • System test in simulated environments and on full radar systems.
  • Our technical environment consists of Visual Studio C++/C#, .NET6, Git and Azure DevOps.

Experience across Windows applications

You have experience with C++ or C# development, preferably with Windows applications for configuration and control. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have an interest in mathematics and/ or physic because it is the cornerstone of our systems.

Your professional CV comprises:

  • A university degree within engineering.
  • Good programming skills in C++ or C#.
  • Experience with DevOps.
  • Knowledge of parallel programming.
  • Good communication skills in English both written and spoken.

We do not expect you to have radar knowledge. The most important thing is that you are motivated for a steep learning curve, then we have a tailored introduction ready for you.

Your new team

The team consists of 12 highly competent and dedicated colleagues, and we work closely together with the rest of Weibels software teams with approximately 65 developers across the different teams. We are a part of Weibels Technology department where you will join more than 195 engineering colleagues and together design and develop the best solutions for our customers. We have all of our development and production in-house and our engineering competencies spans across many technical fields such as system engineering, mechanical, electrical, hardware, software and technical design.
