The Role: Senior Frontend Developer (React)
We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Frontend Developer to join our Aarhus engineering team.
You will take ownership of key frontend initiatives and deliver high-quality, scalable, and performant applications that shape how municipalities interact with our platform. Youll collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to build intuitive interfaces used across Europe.
What Youll Do
- Design, build, and maintain advanced frontend applications using React.js and TypeScript
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code aligned with modern best practices
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver new features end-to-end
- Integrate GraphQL and REST APIs into frontend components
- Review code, ensure quality standards, and mentor junior developers
- Contribute to UI/UX consistency and accessibility across all WasteHero applications
- Stay up to date with the evolving React ecosystem and frontend tooling trends
You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience building modern applications using React.js
- Deep understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
- Experience with GraphQL or REST API integrations
- Solid grasp of React state management (Redux, Recoil, Context API)
- Experience with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and modern build workflows
- Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative mindset
