Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with full stack capabilities, specializing in frontend development with React and backend development using C# and Go, who will become a center point for our user base when it comes to expertise and adoption of our tooling.Working in this role means being an essential part and the binding agent of a journey comprising thousands of collaborators and APIs across the organization!Core ResponsibilitiesThis engineer will contribute to the development of our tooling and platforms, as well as be an advocate and enabler of outstanding API principles.Improve and maintain our established API platform and the associated tooling.Develop and maintain frontend applications using React and backend services using C# and Go.Collaborate with skilled engineers and other partners to deliver an API platform that prioritizes DX and UX.Participate in the engineering community to guide and improve our API products and standards.Build self-service tools and automations to improve interpersonal efficiency.Provide mentorship to product teams on modern integrations.Apply agile development practices to ensure flexibility and responsiveness.Play your part in our team succeeding The API Discoverability & Enablement team within the API Management area at the LEGO Group are the front runners of the API Journey in our company. We are dedicated to enhancing our API platform for software engineering teams across the organization and to providing developer and user centric experience, as well as self-service tooling and enablement functions. The goal is to build and maintain tools and libraries that can be reused and shared across all our product domains as well as enabling engineers across the LEGO Group to embrace our platforms and standard methodologies.The team is part of our API first strategy; we believe that APIs and Async APIs are the key for enabling business agility and provide the way for truly empowered product teams that can access the data they need when they need it. For this we strive to provide consistent, scalable, and self-service platforms that help the LEGO Group achieve a common API surface and standardized consumption. Our API Management platform is built around open standards and best of breed cloud-native technologies.We apply platform engineering and product management practices to ensure we build what brings the most value to our customers (the other software engineers) and ensure a close feedback loop.The team is split between our Billund Campus and the new LEGO Digital Hub in Copenhagen this position sits in Copenhagen, offering an exciting, inspiring, and flexible work environment.Do you have what it takes? The preferred candidate for this position will need to have passion for modern software architecture and engineering practices. Experience in API design and development using REST/GraphQL/Event-driven architecture.Experience with C# or Go, and frontend development with React.Experience with agile development methodologies.Experience with cloud architecture and development in AWS or Azure.To succeed in this role, you preferably have competence within the followingDegree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.API Gateways such as Kong/Tyk/Gravitee or events brokers such as Pulsar.Kubernetes, DockerBackstage.Advanced English both written and verbally are needed since we are an international gathered team.Please note If you require any reasonable accommodation or adjustments throughout the application process, please let us know.
