Senior Software Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Senior Software Developer with a strong interest and experience in software system architecture to contribute to implementation, coordinate development efforts, and enhance team knowledge around the architecture of our applications and shared components.

Based in Hørsholm, Denmark you will be part of a global development team, focused on developing our MIKE product suite used globally.

Responsibilities

• Technical lead in development of core and common components
• Decisions on use of frameworks, infrastructure, defining functional layers, structure of APIs, and documentation of it. Together with the team, build a long-term strategy for their use
• Transforming legacy code to modern tech stacks
• Use your expertise to help and guide other software developers in the organization
• Drive knowledge sharing between teams sitting in different countries
• Participate in the development by coding the functionality and testing your work through unit tests and automated test scripts
• Work together with developers, project managers, product owners and other colleagues
• Take a role as lead developer in some projects

You possess some of these professional qualifications

• Experience with both C# and C++
• Experience with scientific software and mathematical-based programming
• Experience with optimizing and parallelizing algorithms
• Experience with documenting software architecture
• Experience with DevOps
• Experience with Microsoft technologies
• Experience with estimating and budgeting software development activities
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure

Personal Qualifications

• Ability to work individually as well as in a team
• Ability to mentor less experienced colleagues
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in English, oral and written
