Web development and cross-functional collaboration
In this Copenhagen-based role, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional group responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our new premium subscription product. You will be directly involved in the core business priority at Vivino from its early stages and future expansion. You will report to our Senior Engineering Manager and work with a talented team of professionals to deliver high-quality, scalable, and performant web pages that provide an exceptional user experience.

Apart from the impact on the product, you will have an opportunity to influence our technology stack. We are moving from Ruby on Rails to Next.js and would like you to participate in that change.

Your key responsibilities across these areas of focus include:

• Develop clean and well-tested code that meets deadlines and business requirements
• Perform code reviews regularly, fix bugs, and resolve critical issues.
  Write technical documentation
• Estimate and coordinate tasks together with the cross-functional team
• Participate in improving the development processes and the application’s overall architecture
• Help and share knowledge with colleagues
• Keep yourself updated on the changes and news in web development
• Ensure our public pages are SEO-friendly, following the latest industry guidelines and practices.

• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails, React, CSS
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals and experience with ES6
• Understanding of Next.js, Typescript, Material UI, and Webpack
• High focus on unit and integration testing
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools
Previous experience with SEO
