Are you a highly skilled and experienced backend developer with expertise in PHP and Laravel (5+ years)? Do you have a strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming principles and proficiency in database design and optimization, including SQL and NoSQL databases? Hobbii is seeking a Senior Backend Developer who will play a pivotal role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining the backend systems that power our web applications. We're on an exhilarating journey. From our origins as a nimble startup, we're steadily transitioning into a more mature tech entity. While our past was marked by rapid decisions typical of startups, today we are building a foundation with modern development practices. We've made significant strides, but there's more road ahead

In your role as Senior Backend Developer, you will:

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend solutions

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using PHP and Laravel

• Build and optimise database structures and queries for performance

• Work on RESTful/GraphQL API development for integration with front-end systems

• Implement security and data protection best practices

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of high code quality.

Sounds interesting? Here's what you'll need to succeed in this role:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)

• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development

• Solid understanding of security best practices in web development

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Apart from these, we would be thrilled if you had:

• Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
