Join our friendly and fast-paced R&D software department at FOSS – an international company delivering complex instruments and world-class innovative solutions to the food and agriculture industries.

The R&D Software Development department is split into business unit teams and a platform team. Business unit teams deliver the SW for the end products, whereas the platform team unit controls and develops the common functionality and features for our instruments.

The R&D Software Department comprises of more than 70 people within software development and makes up for about 1/3 of the R&D organization in FOSS - and we are growing.

The job
We are looking for a highly competent C# backend developer that can extend our cloud-based solution with new features. You will work together with other software developers and the software PO in the team. We follow an agile development process.

We value cooperation and take pride in good team spirit, and we always focus on how we can assist each other in reaching our goals of delivering high-quality products.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Develop software (and make first verification)
• Be part of design of the implemented solutions
• Support our testers during validation
• Trouble shooting and bug fixing
• Follow the agile processes
• Participate in the daily teamwork

Your daily work will be at the FOSS Innovation Center in Hillerød, Denmark.

Qualifications

• Experienced and highly competent C#/.Net software engineer or computer scientist
• Experience with web architectures and know various patterns
• Experience with cloud based solutions
• Have a flair for troubleshooting
• A genuine interest in software development
• Experience with Agile methodologies and scrum development processes

We will evaluate your competences within software development using an external programming test framework followed by an interview with one of our principal software engineers.

Personal skills

You have an analytical mindset and a methodical approach to software development, as well as the ability to bring a positive attitude into the development team. You have courage to flag problem areas, and a flair for doing this in a positive and constructive manner.

People respect you, and like to work with you, because of your technical competencies and ability to communicate complex concepts in a concise manner. You master the art of simplicity and you promote continuous improvement to the way of working for you and your team.
