About the job
Currently, we are looking for a Software Developer to join our Low-Level Software department, where we develop, implement, and maintain hardware-near software for IO-modules, measurement modules, power converter controllers, and specialised products with RTOS. Our work includes developing drivers, communication protocols, and time-critical measurement and protection algorithms used in power converters, protection relays, PLCs, and energy management controllers.

We work closely with hardware engineers, Linux developers, and application specialists to deliver the fundamental software that application software runs on.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain FPGA firmware as an extension of our software platform for converter control
• Drive the specification of firmware implementation across microprocessors and FPGAs in collaboration with colleagues
• Ensure software releases, including handover to type testing and production
• Contribute to maintaining and expanding our software platform

Your Profile & Qualifications

Were looking for a skilled and motivated software developer with a strong technical foundation in hardware-near software. In addition to this, you should have:

• Experience in software development, preferably through a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with FPGAs, VHL code.
• Preferably knowledge of VHL coding in MATLAB Simulink.
• Experience with programming in C or C++ for microprocessors.
• Additionally, it would be an advantage if you have:
  • Knowledge of IEC 62443 CyberSecurity principles and the implementation of security measures.
  • Familiarity with EtherCAT, SPI, I2C.
